Zajil Telecom, a Kalaam Telecom Group company, signed a strategic partnership with Iraqi Informatics & Telecommunication Public Company to create an  alternate route for operators to connect the GCC into Europe via Iraq

14 April 2024, Manama Bahrain – Zajil Telecom (Zajil Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary in Kuwait of Kalaam Telecom Group), signed a long-term strategic agreement with the Iraqi Informatics & Telecommunication Public Company (ITPC) under the patronage of Her Excellency the Minister of Communications, Dr. Hiyam Al Yasiri. This agreement establishes “Kalaam Iraq Transit,” the first official 100% terrestrial alternative route for large enterprises, hyperscalers, and global carriers to route their data traffic from the GCC to Europe transiting Iraq across Turkey.

Her Excellency the Minister, Dr. Hiyam Al Yasiri, commented that this project and other similar projects that are currently underway will make Iraq a safe land corridor and a competitor to the only international maritime corridor in the region that passes through the Suez Canal.

Kalaam Telecom Flagship Event of Konnecting Talks & Networking Opportunities

26 June 2023, Manama, Bahrain: Kalaam Telecom hosted the second season of its flagship event, Konnect on 22nd June 2023 at the Gulf Convention Center, Gulf Hotel Bahrain in the presence of valued customers, partners, prospects and media fraternity.

Konnect is Kalaam’s flagship event hosted every year for businesses in Bahrain and is dedicated to helping Enterprise customers & Government sectors drive their business growth and accelerate their digital transformation journey.

Konnect 2023 provided a unique opportunity to explore AI Powered Solutions to enable Digital Transformation for businesses in the GCC. It was a day of innovation and inspiration as we brought together people from the business world, governments, solution partner, industry peers and technology experts to share insights and experience on how to transform their business with emerging technologies.

This year we had lot new highlights adding to the flavor of Konnect. We had AI industry veteran Dr. Jassim Haji, President of Artificial Intelligence Society and International Group of AI addressing our guests as keynote speaker and sharing his knowledge on AI emerging trends, best practices and advancements in the GCC. His speech was very informative and generated a lot of interest in AI for attendees.

Partner Speakers from AWS, Quadron, Microsoft, Mitel, Dstny Engage, GTS and Kalaam shared their insights and use cases from their respective fields on digital solutions like Cloud, Cybersecurity, CPaaS, Microsoft Teams & Unified Communications and focused on the AI enablement of these solutions. The speech sparked new ideas and conversations among attendees, while enhancing the overall experience of the event.

The Fireside chat managed by a panel of experienced panelists sparked a lot of interest in attendees which discussed the significance of AI & digital technologies in delivering business outcomes for enterprise customers in terms of improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experiences, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. Panelists from AWS, Quadron, Mitel, Fortinet & Kalaam shared examples of how AI enablement in digital solutions have been used to drive business growth in different industries, discussed industry best practices and tips to compete in an increasingly digital world.

Partner Booths from One Screen, Mitel, Dstny Engage, Quadron, GTS and Kalaam featured live demo sessions of their solutions. The live demo sessions at the partner booths created a more interactive experience providing clients with an opportunity to interact with and learn more about the offerings of the partner companies. The partner booths added to the overall excitement and energy of the event, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere for all attendees.

The event featured Kalaam’s robot K-Bot to meet & greet clients, interact with clients. K-Bot is an innovative addition to the event, which generated a lot of excitement & engagement among attendees, garnered media attention, social media buzz, generating positive publicity and exposure for the event, while also showcasing the company’s innovative and forward-thinking approach to technology and customer engagement.
